Tonight, I went to my nieces Christmas school concert.  It is an annual tradition and I always enjoy it.  I am always amazed at the talent of the young children and the dedication from the elementary teachers to make the concert possible.  So kudos to all of you elementary teachers and elementary teachers to be.

Planning and organization is essential for success as an elementary or grade school teacher.  How do you keep organized as a teacher?  How do you ensure all the details are not overlooked in your lesson?

Sometimes a teacher’s most challenging situation occurs with parents and not students.  Tell me about a time when you had difficult conversation with a parent.

List 5 skills, traits and expertise that you feel you have that will help you connect and build rapport with elementary students?  How have you demonstrated this in the past?

Today’s classrooms include students from many different cultural backgrounds.  Understanding this type of diversity, how do you plan to establish rapport and support all the students in your classroom?
