The Veterinary Technician or a Veterinarian Assistant is responsible in providing technical assistance and clinical support in the health and wellness of animals coming to the clinic Working with Veterinarians you will be looked upon to provide general laboratory and animal nursing services; provide surgical support; and assist the Education and Research. Veterinary Technician Job Interview Questions:

The veterinary technician is to assist and handle duties related to the care of animals, similar to the duties of a nurse. Please provide us with an example of some of your daily experience with daily clinical procedures and routine laboratory work?

As a Veterinary technician you will be working under the supervision of the veterinarian and perform tasks that include medical testing, treating and diagnosis of medical conditions. Please tell us about the most challenging medical case you have had to deal with and what did you do to overcome the challenges?

Typically the veterinary technician is instrumental in nursing an animal back to health. Unfortunately not all animals can be nursed back to health and pay have to be put down. This can be emotionally difficult. How do you deal with your emotions when having to put an animal down? What has been the most difficult situation and how did you deal with it personally and emotionally?

Tell us about the best thing that has happened to you as a veterinary technician? Tell us about a case in which you were quite instrumental in bringing an animal back to health when the situation did not look promising? What was your role? Did you have to encourage or change the mind of your team or head veterinarian?

What is your experience in the following areas as a veterinary technician:
-urinalysis and blood counts
-dental prophylaxis
-prepare tissue samples, take tissue samples
-take blood samples.
-Minor surgery
-Taking x-rays.
